Location: 1 mile northwest of Oakwood.

The chrome bearing sand is in the bed of Conowingo Creek and is covered by about 5 feet of overburden. The chromite content is said to be low and Cr:Fe ration fair; no systematic sampling or investigation of the deposit seems to have been made. (Pearre and Heyl).
