New Texas BarrensLocation: Happy Hollow Road, Fulton township The New Texas Barrens contains a number of small exploratory pits and some larger pits and trenches (see photographs below) as well as 2 quarries. There are no reports of any production of ore or stone. The larger pits and trenches seem to be investigating magnesite deposits. The quarries may have been sources of serpentine rock. |
