Feldspar and Serpentine Stone Quarry

Location: between Conowingo Creek and East Red Hill Road, northeast of Pilot, Cecil County, Md. Aerial photographs show it to be water-filled at present.

Two carloads of feldspar have been shipped from the serpentine quarry of this company on the east bank of Conowingo Creek and a core drill hole is said to have encountered 33 feet of feldspar in depth. (Maryland Geological Survey, 1928)
