The Joseph Walker mill was on Trout Creek between Swedesford and Walker Roads. The sawmill appears in the tax records for the first time in 1765. A Grist mill was added in 1788. The description in the 1798 Glass tax records is of a stone grist mill, 40’ x 28’, and a saw mill. The mill was idled on Joseph Walker’s death in 1813 and was never revived although it is mentioned in a deed from 1823.
