This estate was originally part of the large Havard tract. John Havard sr. sold 300 acres to his second son, David Havard, in 1776.

The Glass tax returns show the following buildings: a Stone House 36’ x 20’ on 2 floors. Windows: 2 of 20 panes; 2 of 16 panes; 1 of 15 panes; and 2 of 12 panes. Additionally a Stone Kitchen 25’ x 17’ a Stone Washhouse 22’ x 16’; a Stone Spring House 14’ x 12’; a Stone Barn 45’ x 20’; and a Stone Wagon House 27’ x 20’. There was also a 1 floor log tenant house measuring 24’ x 18’ with 2 windows of 4 panes each.
