New Texas Activity Report
for 15th September 2013

In attendance: Henry Whitesel, Patrick Hurley and 16 students from Ursinus College

Accomplishments: We started at 1030 and quit about 1300. It was a picture perfect fall day, sunny and cool with a slight breeze. After I give a brief introduction on what Serpentine Barrens are and where they come from, we pulled small invasive trees from Site 1, the first clearing on the right as we walk into Lower New Texas.

I give a special thanks to Patrick Hurley and his class. They gave up their Sunday (even during an NFL Sunday) and came out on a field trip to help us maintain an important Serpentine Barrens area.
